This is my very first tag and I am so excited to be sharing it with you all! It is definitely hard getting started as a blogger and I appreciate each and every one of you who has given me a follow and been so kind to me in the blog world so far 💛. Thank you to Emily @frappesandfiction for tagging me 😊. She has lots of great book reviews like some of my recent favorites Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson and Tweet Cute by Emma Lord. You should check out her blog and give her a follow.
Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their page so others can see how amazing they are, too!

- What is your favorite thing about reading?
I love being able to escape to another world and not worrying about any other responsibilities I have for a time. Reading is a way for me to turn off my brain and just be there in the moment. I also learn a lot from reading – I learn about people different from myself and who have different experiences than myself and I think it helps me be kinder and more thoughtful in the real world. I love bonding with other people about reading, books always create great discussions. Sorry, did you want me to just choose one thing?🤣 Everyone should read!
- How would you describe your blog niche?
I am obviously very new but for now am trying to focus my blog on book reviews and discussions. I used to almost exclusively read YA – this is my ultimate comfort genre, but am trying to expand to more adult fiction, nonfiction and other genres. In the end, I read for fun and do want to read what makes me happy! I have thoughts of expanding my blog to other topics in the future, but for now this is my focus.
- What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Mint Chocolate Chip 🍦
- If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?
My fiancé and I wanted to plan a trip to Italy this summer when I had a break from school but….you know. The worldwide pandemic interfered with our plans a bit. 2020 has been quite the year.
- How are you coping with quarantine?
2020 has definitely been a change of pace for us. I consider myself lucky and my heart goes out to everyone who has been struggling in the pandemic. It has definitely been tough not being able to see friends and family as often and not being able to travel home in the foreseeable future. Since I am studying medicine in my clinical year, life has been as normal as possible for me. I am still going to clinic and my school is moving forward, although I will say it is strange learning medicine in a pandemic.
- What is a genre you don’t like to read/don’t generally pick up?
Historical fiction. I’ve read a few and when I do read them I usually enjoy them and learn something. However, I never find myself reaching for a book on my own unless it comes highly recommended. I hope to read more in the future!
- What is your favorite thing about yourself/your life?
My favorite thing about myself is difficult to choose. I will say I am very happy in my life right now – I have a very supportive family, 2 doggos who I love more than anything, I am finally on the career path that I have worked so hard for and I really love what I am studying.
- How long have you been blogging?
Only 1 week, I am very new 🙈
- What is the best post you have written? Drop a link
I only have a few posts (I promise I have a bunch scheduled!) but my one and only review is on The Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness. More will be coming in the next few weeks 🙂
- What is the best book you had to read for school?
Probably Wuthering Heights – I loved how dark and disturbing it was..and yet romantic at the same time. My kind of book.
- Iced coffee or hot coffee?
Hot, always hot ☕️
